Staff Handbooks & Contracts
MCA will review Human Resource policies and procedures including the options relating to staff contracts and handbooks to establish the client’s position on these issues, plus a review of appropriate information relating to hours and holiday entitlements allowing individual staff contracts to be completed. A bespoke staff handbook and individual staff contracts will then be written.
The Employment Rights Act 1996 requires employers to give all employees a written statement of certain particulars of employment within 2 months of joining the organisation. This applies to anyone employed for a period longer than one month. Existing employees are also entitled to request a similar written statement. If the employer does not provide the written statement within the first 2 months an employment tribunal is required to award compensation
